AdditionallyEligibility is based on the status of the CGMA client and the student as of the first day of the course for which the SEG grant is being provided.Assistance is not authorized for costs associated with preparatory courses, licenses (maritime, real estate, AC&R, etc.), or certification courses (computer, maritime, law, medical, etc.).Eligibility does not extend to CGMA clients who are currently delinquent in repaying any CGMA loan or who appear on the CGMA Restricted Lis. The Chartered Global Management Accountant designation is a recent joint offering of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Launched in January 2012, the CGMA is supposed to indicate expertise in the areas of management accounting and management reporting.
